Admissions - Admission Requirements

1. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of post-secondary education at an accredited (or candidate for accreditation) college or university, preferably within the last 10 years.  At least 2 semester credits each in Biology and Chemistry are required with at least a grade of ā€œCā€.  Coursework in Anatomy and Physiology are highly desirable, although not required.

2. Applicants must be proficient in English.  Each student for whom English is a second language will be required to take an English proficiency test (TOEFL) and score at least 500.  They will also have to score above the mean on the TSE (Spoken English) before becoming a clinic intern.  This requirement will be waived if the student has successfully completed the 2-year college or university requirement in the United States.

3. Applicants must be strongly motivated to learn Oriental medicine and be committed to the pursuit of healing as a profession.

In admitting a student, the College assumes continuous enrollment for the entire course of study.  If a student elects to take a leave of absence or withdraws from school for any reason, the College is not responsible if certain courses are not available should the student re-enroll at a later date (see also Leave of Absence and Withdrawal).  Because of the demanding nature of our curriculum, we strongly discourage concurrent enrollment in other courses of study.
